Why does LTL Quick Quote show more carrier rates than FTL?

This is expected. It is not an error.

FTL and LTL pricing work differently:

• FTL rates usually come from a couple of sources, like DAT and Greenscreens, so you typically see just a few rates back.

• LTL rates come from each carrier pricing your shipment individually, based on things like:

  • Freight class

  • Dimensions

  • Weight

  • Accessorials

Because more carriers are pricing the same shipment independently, a single LTL quote can return rates from many more carriers than an FTL quote would.

So if your LTL results list looks longer than what you are used to seeing on FTL, that is normal. It reflects how LTL carriers price freight, not a problem with your quote.
