Appointment Scheduling FAQ

What is appointment scheduling?

Appointment scheduling is setting up a particular time that a good will be picked up and dropped off.

How can appointment scheduling be improved?

Appointment scheduling can be improved by using two methods: 1. Working with platforms like OpenDocks, Retalix and E2Open to view availability immediately and confirm a time through their interface, receiving an email confirmation. 2. Using the smart sidebar under "Appointments" to fill out a provided form for emailing warehouses about availability.

What tools are currently used for appointment scheduling?

Currently, we plug into OpenDocks, Retalix, and E2Open for appointment scheduling.

What tools are planned for future integration?

Manhattan, One Network, YardView, and Costco are on the roadmap for future integration.

How do I book a load that is not via a web portal?

If you need to email warehouses and ask about availability, use the smart sidebar under "Appointments." Fill out the provided form and then send it to the appropriate contact.

How do I book a load via the sidebar?

The video below explains how to book at load via the smart sidebar. It’s fairly intuitive! You’ll need to navigate to the “Appointments” tab within the sidebar, and then go to “Request Appointments.” Then we will parse the email on the left side to determine which provider you should schedule with. If we don’t interpret the method correctly, you can hit “Request via” and select the right method. Based upon which method you’ve selected, the questions below will populate (each portal has different questions). In the video we are using an OpenDock example. Follow the necessary forms and then select a time. You’ll receive a confirmation email once you’ve secured the time.
