Why does Quick Quote reset when I switch between emails in Outlook?
Last updated: June 1, 2026
If you navigate away from an email in Outlook while Quick Quote is open and then return to it, any unsaved changes you made in Quick Quote will be reset. This is expected behavior any time you switch from one email to another within Outlook.
What causes a reset
Switching from one email to another within Outlook (e.g., Email 1 → Email 2 → Email 1) will reset Quick Quote's state for the original email.
What does not cause a reset
Switching to a separate application window (e.g., Microsoft Teams or another program) and then returning to the same Outlook window and email will not reset your Quick Quote state.
Best practice: Complete your Quick Quote workflow for an email before navigating to another email in Outlook. If you need to reference another email mid-workflow, note the details you need before switching so you don't lose your progress.
