Can I change my default sidebar view?
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Yes. If your account has both the New (Quote) and Active (Loads) views enabled, you can have a default view set so your sidebar always opens to the one you use most.
This can be set at three levels:
User – applies to one specific person
Group – applies to a team or role
Service – applies account-wide
If nothing is configured, Drumkit defaults to New (Quote) whenever both views are enabled. See How does Drumkit decide which view opens by default in my sidebar? for the full logic.
To request a default view change, contact your Drumkit representative and let us know which view you would like set, and at which level (user, group, or service). We will take care of the configuration on our end.
Note that even with Active (Loads) set as your default, Drumkit will still flag when a new email looks like a quote request, and vice versa. Setting a default view only changes what opens first, not what Drumkit surfaces to you.
