Example Scenario

Single Stop

A standard "A to B" shipment with one pickup location and one delivery location.

A customer emails you: "Need a rate for a Van from Dallas, TX to Chicago, IL picking up tomorrow."

Multi-Stop

A shipment that involves more than two stops (e.g., one pick, two drops; or two picks, one drop).

A shipper needs to move produce from Salinas, CA, dropping 50% of the load in Denver, CO and the remaining 50% in Kansas City, MO.

Batch

An email containing a list of multiple distinct lanes that need individual pricing. This is common for mini-bids or morning lane lists.

A logistics coordinator sends a "Morning Hot List" pasting 10 different lanes in the body of the email asking for spot rates on all of them.
