Is Carrier Quote the same as Quick Quote?

No — Carrier Quote and Quick Quote are two separate Drumkit features that serve different purposes.

Carrier Quote is part of the Capacity module. It's used when you need to source capacity for a load and don't have an automated rate — you send a rate request email out to a group of carriers, they reply with their prices, and those responses are surfaced in the sidebar for you to compare and act on. It's especially useful for freight types where no rating engine exists, like expedited freight or drayage.

Quick Quote is a separate quoting tool and is not part of the Capacity module.

A note on dual-purpose use

Carrier Quote can function as both a capacity sourcing tool and a carrier sales tool. Because it allows you to ask carriers directly for rates on specific loads, some teams also use it as a way to engage their carrier network — not just to cover loads, but to build relationships and generate inbound pricing. This overlap is why it's sometimes confused with quoting features, but it lives squarely within the Capacity module and is a distinct product.
