Where do Quick Quote rates come from?
Last updated: March 5, 2026
Drumkit acts as a "bridge," pulling pricing instantly from the industry's most trusted indices so you can quote with the authority of the entire market behind you.
Prerequisites:
Active subscriptions to the third-party providers (Drumkit connects to your existing accounts) with seats that allow you to access data.
Spot Market Indices:
DAT (Spot market averages and lane density)
Truckstop (Rate insights and capacity data)
Predictive Pricing Engines:
Triumph/Greenscreens (Predictive target rates based on real-time network data)
Your Internal History:
TMS Data: We also pull your own historical booking data to show what you paid for this lane last week, last month, or last year.
Common Pitfalls:
"The Rate is $0.00": If a rate source shows up as $0 or is blank, your API Token or login for that specific provider may have disconnected or expired. You likely need to re-authenticate that specific integration in your settings.
Low Volume Lanes: On obscure lanes (e.g., rural North Dakota to rural Montana), third-party engines may not have enough data to form a reliable average. In these cases, rely on your Internal History or manual carrier outreach rather than the automated number.
