How does email-to-bid work for bidding portals?
Last updated: September 23, 2026
On select bidding portals, Drumkit can place your bid directly from the bid request email. You quote and submit from your inbox, and Drumkit places the bid on the portal for you in the background. You never have to open the portal.
Supported portals
CarrierPoint
Insight TMS
Kewill (BluJay)
Manhattan
MercuryGate
Trucker Tools
Email-to-bid is available for full truckload (FTL) quotes.
How it works
A bid request email from a supported portal arrives in your inbox.
Drumkit recognizes it and pre-fills Quick Quote in the sidebar.
You review the rate and click Submit bid.
Drumkit logs in to the portal, finds the load, and places your bid. This usually takes about a minute and a half.
Built-in safeguards
Nothing is sent automatically. A rep always reviews the rate and clicks submit.
Drumkit confirms it has the right load. Before entering a rate, Drumkit checks that the load ID on the portal exactly matches the one in the email. If it doesn't match, or there's more than one possible match, Drumkit stops and lets you know instead of guessing.
Turning it on
Email-to-bid needs a short setup with our team. Reach out to your Drumkit rep or support@drumkit.ai. We'll ask for:
A portal login with permission to place bids. A login that isn't tied to single sign-on (SSO) works best.
Two or three real bid request emails forwarded to us, so we can confirm we're reading them correctly.
A contact for password changes. If the portal password changes, bids can't go through until we have the new one, so let us know when it's updated.
Most teams start with one or two reps for a week before rolling it out more widely.
Don't see your portal?
On every other supported portal, the Drumkit Chrome extension can still quote and fill in your bid while you're on the portal page. See Which bidding portals support Quick Quote? for the full list.
