What is the new smart sidebar, and how does it work?

The new Drumkit smart sidebar brings the same experience you're used to directly into your inbox — no new behaviors to learn, just easier access where you need it most.

Previously, the sidebar was only available on other websites. It now appears in your inbox and within individual emails as well, keeping everything accessible without needing to navigate away.

How to get started with the new sidebar

  1. Check Your Version: Make sure you're running Drumkit v0.49.0 or later. If you're on an older version, update your extension first.

  2. Access the Sidebar: Once updated, the sidebar will be available directly from your inbox and within individual emails.

  3. Use It as Normal: The sidebar works exactly the same as before — no changes to functionality or behavior.

Do I need to relearn anything?

No. The sidebar works exactly the same as it always has. The only change is where it appears — it's now accessible directly from your inbox and individual emails, so you no longer need to navigate away to use it.
