How do I troubleshoot bid submission via email?
Last updated: August 7, 2026
Most Submit Bid issues fall into a handful of common categories. Here's what to check before reaching out, and what to send us if you still need help.
I don't see the Submit Bid option
This almost always means Drumkit didn't recognize the email as coming from a bidding portal we've set up for you. A few possible reasons:
It's an LTL quote. Submit Bid is FTL only today.
The email came from a sender or format we haven't set up for detection. We identify portal emails by the sender's address, and each one has to be configured in advance.
The feature isn't turned on for your account or your user group yet.
What to do: Forward the actual quote-request email to support@drumkit.ai. The original sender address is what tells us which portal it came from, so please forward it rather than pasting the text or a screenshot. If it's a portal or sender we haven't set up yet, we'll get it added.
The load ID is wrong or blank
We pull the load number out of the email automatically, but some email formats are harder to parse than others. You can just type over it since the field is fully editable. Once you edit it, we stop trying to re-fill it from the email.
I clicked Submit and nothing happened for a few minutes
The sidebar only watches for about three minutes before it stops updating, but the submission itself is still running in the background, and nothing is cancelled. Wait for the outcome email, or check the portal directly, before trying again.
I never got a confirmation email
On CarrierPoint, that's expected. CarrierPoint sends its own "bid placed" confirmation, so we don't send a second one.
On any other supported portal, you should get one either way, success or failure. If you didn't, let us know.
My bid failed
A failed submission means we weren't able to place the bid, so nothing was sent to the portal. If the load is still open, it's worth placing it manually in the meantime; the failure email includes a direct link to the portal.
The most common causes are:
A portal password that changed recently
A load that was already awarded or closed before we got to it
What to send us:
The load number
Roughly when you clicked Submit
A forward of the failure email
Can I change whether it sends line haul or an all-in rate?
Not from the sidebar. That's configured per portal and per shipper on purpose, so it always matches what that shipper expects. If it looks wrong, let us know and we'll fix the configuration. Please don't try to work around it by editing the rate yourself.
Can I add another portal login?
Reach out to support@drumkit.ai and we'll set it up for you.
