Why should I click on the copy or “Create Draft Reply” button for the quote?

Last updated: March 5, 2026

Clicking these buttons does two things: it speeds up your workflow and automatically saves the quote.

If you just look at the number and manually type it into an email, Drumkit treats the quote as "abandoned." By clicking the button, you ensure the quote is logged in your history, allowing you to track your win/loss ratios and follow up on the lane later. If you don't click, it didn't happen.

The Workflow: How to Log a Quote Correctly

  1. Generate the rate

    • Enter your details and let Drumkit calculate the rate

  2. Select your output method

    • Option A: Copy Rate (The "Two Squares" Icon): Click this to copy only the dollar amount (e.g., "$1,450").

    • Option B: Create Draft Reply: Click this to generate a full, professional email response that includes the rate, equipment type, and valid dates.

  3. The Result

    • Once clicked, the text is copied to your clipboard AND the quote is saved to the Drumkit database.

    • You can now paste (Ctrl+V for Windows or Cmd+V for Mac) it into your email, TMS, or portal.

Customizing Your "Draft Reply"

Does the default email sound too robotic? You can change it to match your preferred voice.

  • How to change it: Send your preferred email template to support@drumkit.ai and we will adjust it accordingly.
