Use Drumkit on a bidding portal

Last updated: October 23, 2026

On a shipper's bidding portal, the Drumkit Chrome extension reads the load you're looking at, prices it in Quick Quote, and enters your bid on the page, so you don't retype anything. It works in three steps: read the load, price it, submit your rate.

Watch it on a real portal

Two short walkthroughs: reading, pricing and bidding on Emerge, then on a Trucker Tools load board. Some cards in the sidebar, like Kit Insights, depend on what your team has turned on.

Before you start

  • Install the Drumkit Chrome extension, pin it, and sign in. See Install the Drumkit Chrome extension.
  • Log in to the portal in the same Chrome window, the way you normally do. To read a page and enter a bid on it, Drumkit doesn't need your portal password.
  • Check that your portal is on the list: Supported portals and tips.

1. Read: open the load

Go to the load's own bid or detail page. On a load board, click into a load, or click Bid on its row. Each portal is a little different; the portal tips say which page to use.

When Drumkit recognizes the page, an Open Drumkit button appears on it. Click it, or click the Drumkit icon in your Chrome toolbar. The sidebar opens with Quick Quote filled in from the load: pickup, dropoff, dates, equipment and any other details on the page.

Chrome needs a click to open the sidebar; it can't open on its own. Once it's open, it follows the load you're on.

2. Price: get the rate

Check the fields. Portals don't always show distance, ZIP codes or equipment, so fill in anything missing. Then click Get Quick Quote and set your sell rate in Rate Breakdown, exactly as you would for an email. See Quote a single lane.

3. Submit: enter your bid

On a portal there's no email reply. Instead you'll see buttons that put your rate into the portal's bid form:

Button

What happens

Submit line haul / Submit total sell

Drumkit enters your rate in the portal's bid field and clicks the portal's submit button.

Input line haul / Input total sell

Drumkit enters your rate, and you click the portal's own submit button.

Copy line haul / Copy total sell

You're on a supported portal, but not on a page where Drumkit can enter a bid. Copy the rate and paste it, or go to the load's bid page.

Line haul is your sell rate without fuel. Total sell includes fuel. Whether you see Submit or Input is a company setting; ask your Drumkit admin to switch.

Always check in the portal that your bid went through. Some portals take a moment to show it.

That's it. Drumkit records the bid as your quote, and you're on to the next load.

Work down a load board

Drumkit shows one load at a time. On a board, click Bid (or the row) on the next load and the sidebar switches to it.

Bid from your inbox instead

Many portals also email you when a new load is posted. If your team has Submit Bid turned on, you can price that email in Quick Quote and submit the bid to a supported portal without opening it (truckload only). See Submit a bid from an email.

FAQs

The Open Drumkit button doesn't appear.

Make sure you're on the load's own page, not a list or dashboard, then refresh. You can always open Drumkit from the toolbar icon instead. Still nothing? See Drumkit isn't showing up or loading.

The sidebar shows the previous load.

Refresh the portal page, or click into the load again. Some portals don't tell the browser when you switch loads.

Why don't I see Draft Response or Batch Quote here?

They're for email. On a portal your bid goes into the portal's form, so Drumkit shows the submit buttons instead.

The total sell button entered my line haul.

On CarrierPoint and Navisphere pages, Drumkit currently enters line haul even from total sell. If your shipper expects total sell there, enter it by hand for now and let us know. The portal tips list which ones.

Is what Drumkit reads on the portal stored?

What the Chrome extension reads on a portal page is processed in your browser. Drumkit is SOC 2 compliant. See Security and your data.
