What Information do I need to provide to set up Quick Quote Agents for emails?
Last updated: March 10, 2026
1. Quoting Rules
Primary Rate Source What source should the agent use to pull rates? Common options include:
DAT
Triumph / Greenscreens
Internal TMS History
Target Markup What is your standard margin or pricing rule? This can be a fixed percentage, a dollar amount, or customer-specific pricing rules. Be as specific as possible so the agent quotes accurately and consistently.
2. Email Preferences
Who Should Be CC'd List any team aliases or specific colleagues who should be copied on the agent's responses. This ensures the right people stay in the loop on every quote that goes out.
Signature Style Provide a preferred email template or specific phrasing you'd like the agent to use. The more detail you provide, the more the agent's responses will sound like you.
3. Additional Rules and Nuances
If there are any other factors that should influence how the agent calculates quotes, include those as well. Examples include:
Weekend or after-hours delivery surcharges
Accessorial charges (e.g., liftgate, inside delivery, detention)
Customer-specific pricing agreements
Lane-specific rules or exceptions
The more context you provide upfront, the more accurate and consistent your agent will be from day one.
