Book dock appointments

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Book pickup and delivery appointments from the Appointments tab. Drumkit fills in the load details, shows you the open slots on the facility's scheduling portal, and can save the booked time back to your TMS. If the facility doesn't use a portal, send an appointment request email instead.

Which scheduling portals work

You'll see the portals your team has connected. Drumkit supports:

  • Opendock
  • Yardview
  • Costco (beta)
  • C3 Reservations (beta)
  • E2open (beta)
  • Manhattan (beta)
  • OneNetwork (beta)
  • Retalix NCR (beta)

Portal logins are connected once for your team, in the Drumkit Portal under Integrations. See Manage your team in the Drumkit Portal.

Book on a scheduling portal (Opendock example)

  1. Open the load in the Active view and click Appointments.
  2. Under Book an Appointment, pick the portal from Select a scheduling portal.
  3. Check Username:. That's the portal account you'll book with. If your team has more than one, pick the right one.
  4. Choose the warehouse. If you've booked with this facility before, Drumkit shows it as AI-suggested. Otherwise start typing to search.
  5. Fill in what the portal asks for, such as Load Type, the dock and the Reference Number. Drumkit fills in what it can from the load.
  6. Set the date range with Search From and Search To, then click Get open slots. Times are in the warehouse's time zone.
  7. Click a time slot and then Confirm appointment.

Booked. If your team has TMS updates turned on, Drumkit saves the appointment to the load and tells you Your TMS was updated with the appointment details.

If the TMS update doesn't happen on its own, use Update TMS: check the Start Time and End Time and click Update TMS.

Request an appointment by email

For facilities that schedule by email:

  1. On Appointments, choose Email Request (Send email to schedule appointment).
  2. Drumkit suggests the recipient from the stop's contact in your TMS, plus addresses you've used for that facility before, and drafts the email from your team's template. Check both.
  3. Send it. You'll see Appointment request email sent successfully!

When the facility replies with a time, Kit offers it as an appointment update. See Apply Kit's suggested updates.

See what's booked

Scheduled Appointments lists the appointments booked for this load through Drumkit.

To reschedule or cancel a booked appointment, do it in the scheduling portal, then update the time on Load Info so your TMS matches. If you try to book a Yardview load that's already scheduled, Drumkit shows a Reschedule in YardView link that opens the appointment there.

FAQs

I don't see the portal I need.

Only portals your team has connected show up. Ask your Drumkit admin to add it under Integrations in the Drumkit Portal, or email support@drumkit.ai if it isn't on the list.

No slots were found.

Widen the date range with Search From and Search To and try again. If the warehouse has nothing open, try another day or use Schedule another way to send an email request.

I got "Conflicting Appointments".

The portal turned the booking down because it clashes with an appointment it already has. Check the portal for an existing appointment on this load, then pick a different slot or change the existing one there.

Where do the pickup and delivery addresses come from?

From the load in your TMS. If an address is wrong, fix it on the load first.

Can I change the appointment request email template?

You can edit each email before you send it. The Drumkit team sets up templates for now; to change yours, email support@drumkit.ai.
