Builder for Revenova
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Build a Revenova load from a tender or shipment advice: open the email, review the form, click Build Load. Nothing is created in Revenova until you click Build Load.
Before you start
Your Revenova admin and your Drumkit admin set these up once. If Builder isn't showing for you, it's usually one of these.
- Load Building is turned on for you in Drumkit. Ask your Drumkit admin if you don't see the Load Building tab.
- Drumkit is connected to Revenova, with an API user that can create loads.
- Locations you ship to are Accounts whose TMS Type includes Shipper/Consignee, with a US or Canadian address and at least a city and state. Other Accounts don't appear in Drumkit's location search.
- Transportation Profiles are filled in. Drumkit pulls pickup instructions, delivery notes, shipping/receiving hours and the appointment-required flag from them. Hours need one hyphen, like 08:00-17:00.
- If your org has validation rules on loads, your admin has checked they allow loads created through the API. Some fields can only be set just after a load is created.

1. Open the email and go to Load Building
Open the email and the Drumkit sidebar. In the New view, click the Load Building tab. If Kit found a load in the email, click its suggestion and the form fills in from the email and its attachments. Fields Kit filled in carry a small sparkle icon.
Click Expand all at the top of the form to open every section at once, or tick Auto-expand to always start that way.
2. Check each section
Work top to bottom. Start with the customer, because the rest of the load hangs off it. The Revenova form has these sections:
Customer
Pick the customer Account. Its address fills in from Revenova and is read-only: change the customer and the address follows.
- Name: search your Revenova customers
- Ref #/ BOL: the bill of lading or main reference
- PO #: the customer's PO
Specs
- Mode: the mode list from your Revenova setup (for example Truckload, LTL, Reefer, Flatbed)
- Equipment Type: from your Revenova list. If the email's wording doesn't match one, it's left blank, so pick it before you build
- Gross Weight, Pallets, Volume, Distance: load totals
- Min temperature / Max temperature: for temperature-controlled loads
- Items: click Add Item: Name, Description, Quantity and units, Handling quantity and units, Weight
- Cargo Insurance: if your setup uses it
Rates
- Line haul source: shows the rate from the last load on this lane, when there is one, with a link to open that load
- Fuel Surcharge, Total Amount, Currency: what you're billing
- Max Pay: if your setup uses it
- Pricing: Contract or Spot
Pickup and Consignee
Each stop has two ways to enter it: Location Entry (pick a Revenova location) and Quick Entry (type the address freely).
- Location: search by name or address. Picking one locks the address and pulls in its Transportation Profile
- Contact Name, Phone, Email: the stop contact
- Shipping/Receiving Hours: from the profile. Edits apply to this load only
- Reference Number: the stop's pickup or delivery number
- Pickup Date / Delivery Date: required
- Appointment Required: read-only, from the profile
- Appointment Start Time / Appointment End Time: only filled when the email clearly states an appointment
- Instructions: pickup instructions or delivery notes from the profile; edits apply to this load only
When you open a built load later (the Active view), the same form also shows Bill To.
3. Check your locations
Drumkit matches each stop to a location already in Revenova. When it finds one, it selects it and fills the address from that record, so the load points at your real location.
Matched fields are greyed out on purpose: Drumkit is showing exactly what's on the Revenova record. To use a different location, clear Location and search again. To type an address freely, switch the stop to Quick Entry.
If nothing matches, you'll see We detected a new location that will be created upon load submission. You may still choose another location. Search by address first: suite numbers and abbreviations often hide a match. If it is new, Drumkit creates the location (address only, no profile) when you build.
Created a location in Revenova a few minutes ago? Drumkit picks up new locations on a regular sync, so it may not show up right away. Click the refresh icon next to Location or try again a little later.
4. Click Build Load
Click Build Load at the bottom of the form. If a required field is empty, Drumkit shows Invalid fields: with a list of what's missing and opens those sections for you. Fill them in and click Build Load again.
When the load is created you'll see Load Created 🎉 with Load ID #: and a copy button. Paste the number wherever you track the load, or look it up in Revenova.
Clicked Build Load again by mistake? Drumkit asks Submit Another Load? first. Click Yes, Create Another only if you really want a second load.
That's it. The load is in Revenova and you can work it there like any other load.
What's different in Revenova
- Two stops only: a pickup and a consignee.
- Drumkit reads each location's Transportation Profile (instructions, hours, appointment flag) and puts it on the load. It never edits the profile.
- Appointment times are only filled when the email clearly states an appointment. A pickup window, a date or FCFS won't produce one, and facility hours never become an appointment. We'd rather leave it blank than have a load look booked when it isn't.
- Use the Shipment ID to find the load in Revenova search.
- Revenova sets a few fields a moment after the load is created. If that second step fails you can see an error even though the load exists, so check Revenova before rebuilding.
Errors you might see
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| (Load) was created successfully. A customer quote could not be created because the customer account is not currently in a quotable state in Revenova. | The load was built, but the customer Account is on credit hold, not fully approved, or under review, so no quote was attached. | Review the customer Account in Revenova, or follow your usual escalation if a quote is needed. |
| Locations could not be created | Revenova rejected a new location, usually because the address is incomplete. | Complete the address and build again. If one stop's location did get created, select it rather than creating it again. |
| Error building load. | Revenova didn't accept the load, or a follow-up step failed. | Check Revenova first: the load may exist. If it does, fix any missing field by hand; if not, send the email to support@drumkit.ai. |
| Failed to refresh locations | The location list couldn't be reloaded. | Try again in a minute. New locations also appear on the next sync. |
| Invalid fields: (then a list) | One or more required fields are empty or in the wrong format. | Fill in each field listed. Drumkit opens those sections for you. |
| Transport type is required. Select the equipment, then create the load. | The equipment field is empty. | Pick the equipment (or transport type) in the form and build again. |
For every message Builder can show, see Builder error messages, explained.
FAQs
The location exists in Revenova but Drumkit can't find it.
Search by address rather than name. If it's still missing, it may not have synced to Drumkit yet, or the Account's TMS Type doesn't include Shipper/Consignee, or it has no city or state. Your Revenova admin can fix the last two.
Drumkit picked the wrong one of several locations.
When several Accounts share an address, Drumkit keeps one entry. Clear Location and search for the one you want. Cleaning up duplicate Accounts in Revenova helps too.
Why are the hours or instructions blank?
Usually because they're blank on the Transportation Profile, or the hours aren't a single range like 08:00-17:00. Filling the profile in once helps every future load.
Why can't I pick Dry Van as the mode?
In some Revenova setups Dry Van is an equipment type, not a mode. Pick Truckload as the mode and the dry van as Equipment Type.
Can Builder do more than two stops in Revenova?
Not yet. Build multi-stop loads in Revenova directly.
Which number do I use to find the load?
The Shipment ID. The other ID is an internal Salesforce record ID that won't come up in search.
Does Drumkit create loads in Revenova on its own?
No. Drumkit fills in the form and you click Build Load. It reads your customer and location records to fill the form and writes only the load (plus a new location when you choose to create one).
Kit got a field wrong. Will it keep doing that?
Fix the field before you build, then send us the email so we can tune Builder for that customer. See Report a Builder miss.
